my kind of weekend...

This weekend was definitely my kind of weekend. Why, you ask? Well, because we did absolutely nothing. On Friday, we rented the movie "Into the Wild" from the Redbox (seriously, if you aren't using the Redbox, you are wasting soo much money!) and made our homemade whole wheat pizza that we are obsessed with. If you haven't seen that movie, I really recommend it. I loved the book, and I think the movie was just as good. Plus, your husband/boyfriend won't mind watching it with you! I'm pretty sure I was in bed at 11:00 on Friday night. I am SO old!! On Saturday, we had our only obligation of the weekend, which was a cake tasting at 10:00 a.m. The people were so nice, but they only had 2 cake flavors, neither of which was very good. So, needless to say... we should have just slept in. The rest of the day went something like this...
We sat on our back deck and got some sun while drinking beers and reading. I am happy to say that I finally finished my book, "Bitter is the New Black" by Jen Lancaster. I always like reading "chick lit" in the Summer, and I must admit that this one just wasn't my favorite. She is really funny, but complains sooo much. That night, we rented "Definitely Maybe" with Ryan Reynolds and Abigail Breslin. It is a really cute movie. It's pretty predictable, but still cute! I'm pretty sure I was in bed at 11:00 on Saturday, too. So lame. But, I was catching up on very necessary sleep after the 5 days of madness and about 4 hours of sleep per night while in Chicago the previous week. Today, we went to the pool for a couple of hours and then came home and parked on the couch for the next few hours. We did manage to do our jogging & lunging workout, so we aren't total bums. After our workout, I was doing a little online shopping and I found something I am REALLY excited about! I looove the Victoria's Secret Pink line and I just stumbled across their new Collegiate Collection. There are about 30 different schools that are included in this line, and luckily, the University of Kentucky is one of them! Here is some of the stuff from this line:

How cute is that stuff?? And of course, being Victorias Secret, it is also very inexpensive! This line is released on July 1st, so I plan on stocking up immediately. I mean come on, football season is right around the corner! Well anyway, thats pretty much it for my weekend. It was a much needed low-key break from wedding planning, traveling, birthday parties, etc. Hope you all had your kind of weekends too!

That sounds like a great weekend! Everybody needs to have a weekend like that every now and then! I see that you were drinking the new BL Lime I had one of those last weekend and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! And I'm with you on the Chick Lit during the summer!
