Hey everyone! Sorry for being such a boring blogger lately, but I have been SO ridiculously busy! I constantly have so much to do right now with Christmas, wedding stuff, work, and then I have been sick the last 24 hours to add to all of the stress! Oh well.. on to better things. I have spent some of my (rare) downtime working on yet another DIY project. I have to admit, this is one of my favorites. Let me introduce you to my Cocktail Flags:
I plan on having these cocktail flags behind the bar, so that the bartenders can put one in each drink that is served. I bought 500 of the drink stirrers from Bar Supplies and I would highly recommend them to anyone who was looking for anything bar-related. Their customer service was awesome. Anyway, after I received the stirrers, I made a quick and easy template in Microsoft Publisher, and printed out 500 of these labes (front and back) on regular white cardstock. Then cut them and ran them through my Xyron, which put adhesive on one side, and laminate on the other so that the flags are nice and stiff. For the design, I just used the monogram that I ordered months ago, and blogged about here. We are also using the monogram on the front of the favor boxes, so I think these cocktail flags will help tie everything together nicely. Here is a close-up of the flag:
It doesn't really look that blurry, but my poor camera has seen better days! I think these cocktail flags would work great for many different parties.. holidays, showers, bachelorette parties, and so on. All in all, I am just excited to cross one more thing off of the big bad list! What do you think of my latest creation?

love it!! I used that same monogram design (colors and all) ordered from Swish Designs for the snapfish picture memory book I made my boyfriend last summer! Of course I used our anniversary date not a wedding date :)
Those are so cute :) I need some creativity.. you girls put me to shame, ha!
Nice! This is such a cute idea!!! Love it.
Those are just great!!! What is a xyron? I think I could get some use out of one of those...
adorable! i wanted to make these for our wedding, but I ran out of time and patience! haha. your guests will love them!
Very cute . . .
they are so cute! if we were having liquor/mixed drinks, I would totally do it, but we're not allowed to do that at our venue. only wine and beer... so sadly, no swizzle sticks. I'm jealous-they're adorable!
So great! Love the flags :)
I think I may have to try these out as well - these are adorable!!
Those are great. I did not think of those for the bar. I will have check out that website. You really make me want to get my butt in gear for all the projects that I have to do.
new to your blog and love it!! When is the wedding?
When you were buying supplies for these.. did you see anything to make bar coasters with?
Angela,
I just stubled upon your blog and I LOVE all your ideas! I am also planning a pink and green wedding! I was wondering where you found this bucket? Or did you make it??
Hayley :)
First of all... I love your blog! You are SO creative! I would love to do some cocktail flags myself, but I'm not that familiar with the Xyron... I've seen them at Michaels, but there are so many different versions/sizes. What size would be appropriate for the drink flags?
I'm going to attempt to make something similar. I can't wait :) Yours turned out so great!
