Still ridin the mo' train...

And by "mo" I am of course referring to momentum. This week, I have crossed two more "little things" off my list! Anyone who reads regularly may remember the coloring books that I blogged about a while back. I needed a holder for the coloring books, so I made one that would match the basket for our programs. Here is the finished product:

This was a reeeeally easy project, but I think it will give a nice effect since it will match the program basket. I also finished my flip flop buckets, and the signs for these buckets. For anyone who is new to this idea, you basically offer flip flops at your reception to any women (or men, if you choose) who want to kick off their heels and boogie in something more comfortable! Here are some pictures of the flip flops, signs and finished product:

I wrapped each pair of flip flops in ribbon simply for the presentation. I think they look much more enticing that way! I also put the sizes on the toe area so that it would be easier to find your size, rather than searching through several buckets. Those tags peel right off. I love this idea not just for the functionality, but also for the extra splash of color. I really hope that the ladies at our reception will actually put these babies to good use!

I was thinking about doing this as well...where did you purchase the flip flops? Our wedding isn't until August so usually Old Navy has their flip flops on sale by then, but if you have a cheaper site I would love to look into it!

The flip flops I got from Target throughout last Summer. I think they were like $2 each? I also got some when they went on clearance for about $1.29 each. The bins are also from Target!

The coloring books!! I've been a babysitter/nanny/baby nurse and also have a TON of kids in the family who I can't imagine not having at my wedding, and always thought having color pages and crayons would be a great idea to keep them happy!! Those are CUTE!!

I love all of your great ideas! I especially love the font you used for the 'grab a pair and hit the dance floor' can you tell me what the name of that font is? Also, I am just starting up a blog and I had a few questions about how you added the large logo at the top of yours, etc...if you would be at all willing to answer some of my novice blogger questions it would be so much appreciated! Thanks, Nikki Biallas

ok, I totally love your blog, you've already inspired like 4 new DIY projects for me. I have a question, though. Could you e-mail me the file for your coloring book, or at least the clip art on the front? It is way cute, and I'm working on mine but can't find a pic I like as much as yours. Thanks so much, and Congrats on your wedding. Wow, less than a week to go!
