I'm Kreativ!

Boy am I feeling loved! I received the Kreativ Blogger award from four of my absolute favorite blogs: Kentucky Katie, The Farmer & The Southern Belle, Lovely Tonight and Just Lovely! Seriously if you have not checked out any of their blogs, then you must do so! Seriously, stop reading. Go check them out! haha:)

Here is my list of 7 things I love, other than the obvious ones... Ryan, family, friends & Carter!

1. The McDonalds Filet-o-Fish singing fish commercial. I seriously cannot get enough of it. Just ask Ryan. I send him text messages that just say, "give me that fisssssssh!"

2. Keeneland starting 2 weeks from today! I can't wait!

3. OPI California Raspberry nail polish. My favorite color ever, and my Springtime staple!

4. The NCAA Tournament. Okay, so Kentucky isn't in it this year. Whatever. Once I fill out my bracket, all loyalties go by the wayside and I become determined to win every bracket pool that I've entered.

5. LOST. This is the best season EVER. It is by far the greatest show on tv right now, and maybe the greatest show ever. Ryan and I put the phones on silent and lock the doors every Wednesday night at 9:00. We love it!

6. Wearing flip flops. I was able to bust them out 3 times already this week! Yay Spring!

7. Our new house! I just love it. I am so glad we found it!

Okay, so, I am horrible at passing on awards because I never narrow it down to just 7 or 5 or whatever, so I am passing this along to all of my followers! You all deserve an award!

Another DIY Project

Before I share my DIY project, I have to say THANK YOU to Dana from Jumping the Broom. She gave me this award:

She wrote the sweetest things about me, and called me "spunky," which I love! Thank you, Dana!!! Again, I am so horrible at passing these on, but I would like to give one to everyone on my blog list, because you all keep me so entertained and inspired on a daily basis!

On to my DIY project...

Lately, I have been seeing a trend in spicing up the reception chairs that the bride and groom sit in. I really like this trend, because it is very simple, and a nice personal touch. I decided that I wanted some simple little signs for the chairs that Ryan and I will sit in at our reception. Here's what I came up with:

The green paint on the sign actually matches the ribbon a lot better than the camera portrays. We are using this ribbon around our bouquets as well around our centerpiece vases, so I think it will tie in nicely. The sign and letters are all wood, so they should hold up well. This project took about an hour, and cost me about $8. I really love how they turned out. What do you think?

Congratulations HALEY, and a Blog Award!

A lot of exciting stuff sure has been happening around here lately! I got some more exciting news last night that another one of my bridesmaids, Haley, is PREGNANT!!!! She is due in April, so I guess we will be adding another guest to our guest list:) I cannot find a good picture of Haley & I to save my life, so here is a picture of her with her adorable 4 year-old, Gracen:

Haley owns an awesome boutique called The Pink Pineapple, so you can only imagine how fabulous Gracen's wardrobe is! Congratulations, Haley! We are so happy for you!!!

My second exciting news of the day is that I received my first Blog Award from one of my favorite blogs, Pretty in Pearls. I received this pink diamond award:
