views on shoes...

Since we (okay... I) picked our wedding colors, I really really wanted to wear dark pink shoes. The only problem was that I couldn't decide if that could be done without looking silly or like it was "too much." Well, my fears were put to rest when I saw Lyndsy's wedding pictures on Yellow Brick Blog. First of all, those pictures are gorgeous! And, I absolutely love how her pink shoes look. And even better yet, she wore the same shoes I picked, the Stuart Weitzman Solitaire Pump:

These babies are the perfect color and style. The downside... they are $325 and I cannot find a size 6 to save my life. While my quest for these continue, I have found some alternatives..

These are the Liza D'Orsays from J.Crew and they are currently on sale for $127!! I know, they are almost the exact same shoes, but the closed toe gets me. Maybe I can just grab an exacto knife and fix that little problem?? or not!

These are the "Charles" by Charles David, which fit the color and bow criteria, but gold heels? I don't know... they would be the only gold things at the whole wedding. Anyone have a fuschia sharpie I can borrow??

And last but CERTAINLY not least, the Kate Spade Gali...

WOW! I mean really, WOW, right??Aren't they gorgeous and perfect?!?! I actually just found these today as I was borrowing (stealing) pics for this post. They are also $325... but Zappo's puts Kate Spade on sale pretty frequently. What do you all think? Anyone else wear colorful shoes on their big day??
