An Award... and A Recipe!

Well first and foremost, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone! I am so ready for my 4-day weekend! I received something extra to be thankful for today... a lovely award from Sarah at Downtown Southern! Here it is:

Isn't that cute? I'm so excited to receive it! Thank you, Sarah! I am also excited to pass it along to 5 other fabulous blogs. Although I am hooked on just about every blog I read, I am going to pass it along to:

1. Tales of a Northern Belle -for her always entertaining stories and recaps!

2. Preppy Southern Princess - because all of her stories make me reminisce about my college days!

3. The Adventures of Maverick and the Mrs. - because she is downright hilarious, and she and her husband are just adorable together!

4. Nautical by Nature - because she has such amazing taste, finds the cutest things, and shares my Gossip Girl obsession!

5. Southern Prep - because she also cracks me up, and her wedding blog inspired me so much!

I am also supposed to list my "Five Fabulous Addictions" to go along with my award..

1. The MAC Paint Pot. So, the one I have is supposed to be used for an eyeshadow base, but I use it for everything from concealer to a lipstick base. It is my lifeline!

2. Philosophy Caramel Apple Lip Shine. All of the Philosophy Lip Shines are great, but this one is so yummy!

3. Hanky Panky underwear. PLEASE tell me that you have worn these. My friend Haley gave me a pair of them, and they are seriously the greatest underwear EVER.

4. Yankee Candle Black Cherry Car Jar. Okay so I used to think the "Car Jar" was kind of tacky, but this is the best air freshener my car has ever smelled.

5. Chance by Chanel Perfume. This is my absolute favorite scent. I have never had as many compliments about a perfume until this one!

And lastly, I know I don't really blog about recipes (mostly because I don't cook!) but I made the BEST pumpkin pie for my work Thanksgiving party tonight after I saw it on Paula Deen's Thanksgiving episode, and I had to share! It is actually an Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie with Praline Pecans on top. Instead of writing out the entire recipe, if you are interested, you can find it here.
